How to Double Crochet

A double crochet (dc) is a tall stitch most commonly used in granny squares, but it’s also great for blankets, sweaters, or any larger projects.

Here is how to double crochet with step-by-step instructions:

1. First, yarn over to add a loop to your hook. The arrow indicates the next stitch2. Insert the hook under both loops of the next stitch
3. Yarn over and pull it back through both loops of the stitch to add a loop to your hook4. There should now be three loops on your hook
5. Yarn over, then pull it through only TWO of the loops on your hook6. There should now be two remaining loops on your hook
7. Yarn over, then pull it through the remaining two loops on your hook8. You should now only have one loop on your hook. This is a dc !!
